Welcome and Introduction

I will be using this blog to present my A-level Media Studies coursework. I am using a blog, as opposed to a physical scrapbook, as it allows me to use many different forms of software and media to present my work - including Prezi presentations, screen-casts and edited videos.

The main task is centred around creating a film product and a brand identity to accompany it. This must be presented in an electronic format which allows the user to engage with many different contemporary media technologies. Research and Planning, Construction, Evaluation and two Ancillary Tasks must be evident within the portfolio.

The main task is to create a 5-minute short film.
The two ancillary tasks are to produce a Film Poster and a Magazine's Film Review.

I will be working as part of a group of 4, selected by our tutor. I will be working with the following:

Richard Dawson

Rich is very dedicated to his work in graphic designs and is very impressive with his editing work on software such as Final Cut and Photoshop. He will be particularly valuable during the construction of the the Film Poster and during the post-production stages of creating the 5-minute short film.

Jodie Wilkins

Jodie is a natural leader and will be important during the shooting stages of the project. Her organisation skills will be tested and hopefully we will come out successful.

Melissa Moore

Melissa is meticulous with her planning and research of things. Her skills will be needed most during the research and planning stages and will ultimately determine whether we make a film that accurately reflects our aims and intentions.
