Construction: Revised Rough Cut Edit

Following the feedback session with our peers, we set about making alterations to our film. We took into consideration all of the main points raised in the evaluation of the feedback session and made changes to the soundtrack and editing - again using Soundtrack Pro and Final Cut Express.

Firstly, at 0:15 the foley sounds of the office have been reduced. The loud ambience coming from another room is faded out as the colleague leaves the room and the other sounds have been matched with the actions correctly.

Secondly, at 0:43 we decided to drop the shot containing the slow-motion replay of the picture falling of the desk due to the feedback we received.

Also, at 1:05, I have overdubbed the sound of a car starting but failing, and the starting up again to try and disguise the lengthy shot. Although this is not perfect, we have not had opportunity to re-shoot at this location yet. If the feedback we get disagrees with this new shot, then we may have to find new location.

At 1:49, I have removed the sounds of the table and cutlery that were deemed unnecessary and inaccurate.

Again, at 3:00 the foley sounds of the nature in the park has been lowered and cut apart a bit to make it less prominent in the scene.

Furthermore, at 4:00, the scenes from the graveyard have been cut shorter and edited together using transitions and fade-to-whites.

At 4:33, the camerawoman's voice has been removed and the sound for that scene has been overdubbed.

Finally, at 5:20, scrolling credits have been added that contain the crew involved and we believe these are in the style of a thriller, which is the predominant genre at the ending of the film.

Now we shall take our revised version of the film and exhibit it to a collection of members of our target audience. To record feedback, I plan to devise a survey that the audience can fill out during and after the viewing.
